I'VE BEEN SO BUSY

I've been so busy digging Will's dancing holes and helping him with the renovations, well mainly laying under them and supervising....so there is lots to tell 
We had not one but two of those things called Australia Day. The first one had my friend Boris on that microphone thing. I love Boris, he pats me all the time. Sometimes old ladies look a bit horrified when he says stuff, but I don't care, I just want my next pat from him.

After some of those words from Boris lots of people got on their bikes and in pairs went so slowly up the dirt road that I got bored watching them. I thought motorbikes went fast, but not on that day.

At the end my friend Leon won whatever it was they were doing. I love Leon too, he pats me all the time and sometimes if he gets a bacon and egg roll he gives me a bit. He got a big white thing for winning and mum says it said "Winner Grey Gum Cafe Slow Race 2003" 

After that they all went down into the gully where mum won't let me go and every human that went down there threw a motorbike helmet as far as they could. being a dog I don't know what that was all about but I don't use helmets so I don't care. Kevin, our road and driveway restorer won the helmet throw. He is Jav's that cooks your food husband.

After that Boris, Will and a couple of others wandered around all the bikes. They pointed at them and patted them and went umm, oooh ahhh a lot. Then three people got more of the clear white things. Mum says they are called trophies. One of the trophies is called mums choice, but Boris said mum is not allowed to choose anymore because she only picks blue bikes. I like blue bikes too but I suppose Boris knows more about bikes than mum.

My friends "Lenny's Girl" were singing on the stage. They were terrific. I'm just a dog but I know that my friend Beggsy plays a hell of a mean guitar. I love them all and Brown Knee the drummer his pats are the best.

Then on the Saturday we had the annual "Veterans MC Australia Day Ride". I just love Moose and boys. Spyda White and Baditude Rock n Roll belted out the tunes on stage. Everybody loved them and everybody danced. Will kept going on about how great they were and how he loved Creedance whoever they are. Great four days and I got so much bacon.

Will says Spyda and Baditude are coming back at easter with eleven bands over two days. It's Will's birthday on Easter Sunday and they are calling it " The Commissar's 60th Birthday Bash" There will be so many people here that weekend and the bacon will be plentiful.

What a time to be alive! The other day Mum gave me a new thing. She called it "Sea Bacon". At first I thought she may be unwell. Of course I couldn't see bacon. I can always see bacon and smell it and taste it. Hell, I dream of chasing bacon through the paddocks. But this bacon was not like normal bacon. It came wrapped in this thick, gooey white stuff, which was then wrapped in some very dark green stuff. When I sniffed it, it smelled like Will's underpants when he comes back from a few days riding his bike. Not unpleasant but thick and rich, and it could make a lesser dogs eyes water. This is the Sea Bacon Mum gave me. It took a little effort to unwrap it. I'm sure she didn't expect me to eat the green stuff or the white stuff. Maybe she just wanted to see how clever I was. THE STICK THING

 Have I told you about my stick thing? No matter I'll tell you again. I like sticks. And mum loves me so much she has put so many sticks around the bacon-eating platforms, I will never run out of them. I chew them a lot. Many of them are flavoured with bacon because so many people drop bacon when they eat. So wasteful and clumsy. I eat the bacon, and then later I come back and chew the stick the bacon landed on and flavoured up. It's like a double helping of bacon.  This is the magic of bacon. It flavours everything it touches with its yumminess. If you see me licking the concrete, you'll know why. See? I'm not complicated. If you don't understand what I'm doing, just consider that bacon is involved some way. I feel about bacon they way many of you feel about your bikes, your partners, or your pups. You don't get to eat those things. But I get to eat bacon. Sucks to be you.

THE BACON CYCLE

 You might notice I'm not always around when you are. Unless you're eating bacon. Then I'm around. But when there's no bacon, I'm asleep. I sleep a lot. I have to. Digesting bacon is no easy thing. It takes a lot of energy. That energy comes from bacon. It's a delicious cycle, isn't it? I eat the bacon, which then helps me to digest the bacon I have eaten earlier, and I don't have to do anything but sleep while that happens. Then I wake up, go somewhere private until the used bacon leaves me, then I eat more bacon! So don't panic yourselves if you don't see me. I'm doing important things. But don't worry, if you go inside the big high box where all the bacon comes from and get yourself (me) some, then when you return to your table and sit down, I will be there 😉 It's what I do.
